Days of Nikola Tesla on 27th of January at the Technical museum „Nikola Tesla“ - opening of competition for the award of Nikola Tesla –Genius for the future

We invite you to join us on 27th of January at 17 hours this year at the traditional festive opening of the competitition for the annual award of Nikola Tesla – Genious for the future within the Days of Nikola Tesla in the Demonstration cabinet of Nikola Tesla at the Technical museum of Nikola Tesla in Zagreb.

The competition for this renowned annual award will be open 7th year in a row in three categories: the Quiz in physics and general knowledge about Nikola Tesla intended for kids and youth, categories of Creative and Innovative Product, usable object or souvenir inspired by the personality and work of Nikola Tesla, replica of some of Tesla' s inventions and projects from the field of Tesla's extended action areas (the environment protection, the use of renewable energy sources).

The competition will be traditionally open at Zagreb's Technical museum which bears the name of the great figure of Nikola Tesla within the Tesla's days and commemorating the 160 year of birth of the genious from the village of Smiljani.

The competition will be also this year open with the appropriate programme from which we destinguish: demonstration of Tesla's inventions – interesting demonstrations conducted by Mr.Renato Filipin, Senior Curator in the Technical Museum in Zagreb and a lecture conducted by prof.dr.sc. Stanko Popovic called: Nikola Tesla, scientist and inventor – discovery of X rays. The Academic Popovic in his lecture puts a question: if his lab wouldn't be burn in a fire, would he be recognized as a Nobel Prize winner.He will also talk about the pioneer work related to X rays descovery.
