Nomination for the Nikola Tesla – Genius for the Future Award 2015

All works submitted for the Nikola Tesla – Genius for the Future Annual Award were evaluated by a group of experts. The award will be given on 9 July , 2015 within the event celebrating the Nikola Tesla Day – the Day of Science, Technology and Innovation.

In the category Creative and innovative product, usable object or souvenir inspired by the personality and work of Nikola Tesla or replica of Tesla's invention, which is recognized for its unique image, functionality, quality and market acceptance, the nominees are : Universal wireless charger made by Ivan Kožar - Electronic&Computing Club from Ivanić Grad, Electric arc detector made by Ivica Bevanda from Topolovac and the project „Nikola Tesla is our teacher“ by Aleksandra Ivanac and Primary School Sveta Klara from Zagreb.


In the category of Projects from Tesla's extended work related to the environmental protection, use of renewable energy resources and projects focused on the promotion of creativity and innovative spirit, the following projects are nominated : Intelligent management by photopotential systems GSM/GPRS by Tino Herljević from Zagreb, a student at RIT Croatia, Cloud security system by Tino Biršić - Electronic&Computing Club from Ivanić Grad and Ecco garbage truck by Dijana Karačić, the innovator from Zagreb.

In the category Quiz in physics and general knowledge about Nikola Tesla the finalists of this year competition who will attend the final testing starting at 17 hrs on 2 April at the Faculty of Textile Technology are as follows: the primary school finalists are Grgur Bencić, Tia Kobasić Čonč and Toni Markoja, pupils at Primary School Kralja Tomislava, Zagreb. Among secondary school students, Hana Cepić, Sara Cepić and Valentina Meglaj, students at High School Sesvete show the best knowledge on physics and Tesla's work. The most successful university students are Anamarija Baković, Ana Knežević and Žana Vuković, students at the Faculty of Textile Technology, Zagreb.
